The Advantages of an East African Water Safari

When most people think of going on safari in East Africa, they think of dry plains and a lack of water – not wetlands, rivers, crater lakes and huge bodies of water. Uganda is a surprise to most visitors because it offers a wonderful combination of land and water safaris.   In fact, if you aren’t including boat excursions on your trips you are missing out on incredible scenery and wildlife.    Uganda has a large part of the shoreline of  largest lake in Africa, Lake Victoria.  It also has  Lake Mburu  and in the Western Albertine Rift of Lakes Edward.
